ENSCO Rail (ENSCO), and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) have expanded training facilities at the Transportation Technology Center (TTC) to support advanced railway and transportation related workforce development initiatives for over 180 students per day. These new classrooms feature the latest in training technology and are designed to support virtual training through instructor microphones, headsets, and backdrops that accommodate an online learning environment.
These new classrooms will support expanded training programs at the TTC and bolster its status as a valuable resource for workforce development training on security and safety of transportation systems. ENSCO is currently coordinating 17 different cyber courses and security training activities at the TTC. ENSCO is providing support with the coordination and hosting of training provided by other organizations, including the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Federal Railroad administration (FRA) and the Ambipar Response Training Center (ARTC). ENSCO offers trainings through its own instructors and with our C-STTAR partners such as the University of South Florida Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) and the Mineta Transportation Institute, San Jose State University. Along with classroom space, the TTC provides the opportunity for learning to expand beyond the classroom with live demonstrations and exercises that include on-track tools, hazardous material response and more. The TTC enables a unique, hybrid learning opportunity, with in-class instruction and real-world experience rolled into one.
“Our facility and training program expansion combined with world class instructors provide attendees of training courses at TTC with the best possible experience to advance their safety and security educational journey.” said ENSCO President Jeff Stevens.”
