ENSCO, Inc. is set to exhibit its extensive capabilities at the 103rd Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. from January 7th to 11th, 2024.
During the event, ENSCO will highlight its technical expertise and support services benefiting various transportation sectors including rail, transit, trucking, pipelines, and emerging modes of transport. Through its operation of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)-owned Transportation Technology Center (TTC), ENSCO stands ready to provide unique test fixtures and facilities that play a pivotal role in addressing a wide range of safety, security, and technology initiatives. These offerings are tailored to aid US Department of Transportation (DOT) administrations, state DOTs, universities and transportation technology providers. ENSCO representatives will be available to discuss how the Center for Critical Infrastructure Protection (CCIP) training aligns with evolving government and industry needs, addressing cyber and physical security protection requirements effectively.
ENSCO’s Surface Transportation Group (STG) Division leaders will speak at two technical sessions. On Sunday, January 7, ENSCO R&D Program Manager Radim Bruzek and Dr. Timothy Stark from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will present, “Estimating Track and Ballast Modulus of Elasticity” during the Track Resilience: Design, Construction, and Maintenance workshop scheduled between 1:30 – 4:30 p.m., During a session on New Technology in Track Condition Assessment on Tuesday, January 9 from 10:15 a.m. – 12 p.m., ENSCO Solutions Engineering Director Bernhard Metzger will deliver a presentation titled, “Automated Inspection of Railway Point Assets.”
TRB’s Annual Meeting attracts thousands of transportation professionals globally, encompassing all transportation modes. Sessions and workshops cover topics of interest to stakeholders, ranging from policy makers to practitioners.
Transportation Technology Center (TTC)
