ENSCO, Inc., a trusted partner to commercial and military aircraft manufacturers for more than 35 years, will highlight its suite of solutions for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) at the Vertical Flight Society’s (VFS) 80th Annual Forum & Technology Display at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal in Montréal, Québec, Canada from May 7-9, 2024.
ENSCO Chief Engineer Dr. Wil Myrick, an expert in Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT), has been selected to present his paper, Complementary PNT with Fusion Artificial Intelligence Link Synchronization Array for eVTOL Systems (FAILSAFES™) during a technical session on Thursday, May 9 from 2:30 to 3 p.m. The paper demonstrates the strides ENSCO scientists have made integrating the company’s PicoRanger™ radio frequency (RF) ranging technology with its FAILSAFES product, which supports entrance into the eVTOL systems market for alternative PNT.
ENSCO’s team will be stationed at Booth 310, jointly exhibiting with Element U.S. Space & Defense (formerly NTS). The company’s experts will be on hand to discuss how its tailored solutions address the unique hurdles faced by AAM systems, platforms, and infrastructure providers. This includes how Complimentary Positioning, Navigation, & Timing (C-PNT), a development led by Dr. Myrick, addresses a wide range of tracking, locating, and navigation challenges, especially when GPS service is denied, impaired, or otherwise unavailable.
VFS’ three-day conference is the world’s leading international technical event highlighting vertical flight technology. The forum features more than 250 technical papers on every discipline from Acoustics to Test & Evaluation, along with discussions and presentations by leaders in military, government agencies, and industry.
